Clinical Support Specialist (full time)
Innovative Rehabilitation Systems is a growing healthcare services company with a reputation for excellence, located in Novi. We are currently seeking qualified Clinical Support Specialist role Successful candidates will be dependable, able to multi-task, self-motivated, have strong communication skills, office coordination experience and have a positive attitude.
They must be able to work independently and in a team environment and have a high level of professionalism. The primary responsibilities are high level administrative support, day to day office coordination, and special projects. Candidates need to be creative, flexible and team oriented.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinator between management, clinical staff, patients and their representatives.
- New admissions for patients and coordination of benefits.
- Monitors the need for updated therapy prescriptions and requests from doctors, as appropriate.
- Contacts patients, referral sources and other appropriate contacts to assure care coordination.
- Creates procedures, and updates policies and procedures as directed.
- Data entry, such as payment of services, into various systems.
- Supporting clinic coordinators, administratively.
- Office duties such as answering phones, opening mail and organizing office and supplies.
- Office purchasing and maintaining inventories.
- Data entry, compiling and tabulating data.
- Scanning and saving documents.
- Coordinating schedules, meetings and appointments.
- Assisting in various human resource tasks.
- Attending meetings and documenting minutes.
- Confirming appointments and other medical information via phone.
- Leading special projects as needed.
- Assisting in various office tasks as needed.
- Positive behavior and professionalism. This position is a key interface and should be able to communicate effectively, convey information, and be a team player to ensure that daily office tasks are being completed.
- The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision demonstrating use of initiative and independent judgment
- Past office coordination skills.
- Experience working in a small office environment.
- Proven experience “wearing different hats” at an organization to understand overall operations.
- General understanding of health benefits, medical insurance and EOB’s. Past employment in medical field is not required.
- Attention to detail and fast paced.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a high level of organization.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook and typing.
- Ability to research data and make recommendations.
- Project experience.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and function in different roles.
- 2+years of prior office experience.
- Associates Degree or higher in a business field or commensurate experience.
