Speech and Language Pathologist for Community-Based TBI Part-time, Full-time

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Full-Time or Part-Time | Community-Based | Flexible Scheduling

Make a real impact—beyond the clinic.

At Innovative Rehabilitation Systems, we help individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries rebuild their independence where it matters most—at home, at work, and in their communities. If you’re an SLP who values functional outcomes, autonomy, and meaningful patient relationships, this is a role where your work truly changes lives.

Why SLPs choose us:

  • Flexible scheduling – build a caseload that fits your life
  • Autonomy + support – independence in the field with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
  • Specialized training in TBI – no prior experience required; we’ll train you
  • Functional, real-world therapy – treat patients in environments where skills actually carry over
  • Strong clinical growth – expand into cognitive-communication, executive functioning, and community reintegration
  • Competitive compensation
  • Extensive therapy materials & resources provided

What you’ll do:

You’ll provide highly individualized, functional therapy for adults with brain injuries in home and community settings, including:

  • Cognitive-communication therapy (attention, memory, executive functioning)
  • Speech, language, and motor speech treatment (apraxia, dysarthria, articulation)
  • Dysphagia assessment and treatment
  • Functional reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, and real-world decision-making
  • Community integration and independence training
  • Assistive technology recommendations
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary rehab team
  • Documentation and care plan development

What we’re looking for:

  • CCC-SLP, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply!
  • Experience with TBI or neuro rehab is a plus—but not required
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in the community
  • Passion for functional, patient-centered care

Work Environment:

  • Community-based (home, workplace, and real-life settings)
  • No clinic – therapy where your patients need it most, in real life settings.
